With the perfect combination of flow, work ethic and swag, the quadruple threat (rapper, producer, model, actor), Luvaboy TJ has been a force to reckon with in the entertainment business from a young age.
Luvaboy TJ grew up in a household rich in theatrical and musical history. This afforded a young Luvaboy TJ the opportunity to properly nurture his talents. Growing up in the late 90’s in Harlem, NY Luvaboy TJ had to walk a thin line to survive an environment bent on his destruction. While many in his neighborhood were dying or going to jail, Luvaboy TJ promised his mother that this would never be his fate. This promise keep Luvaboy TJ focused. Even though the streets were called him, he wisely invested the majority of his time playing basketball, honing his acting craft, going on model auditions and learning to produce music. His first love being music, Luvaboy TJ recorded and produced his first song at the tender age of

Growing up looking up to recording artists: Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Boyz to Men and Will Smith gave Luvaboy TJ a multidimensional approach of what an artist could be. Being inspired by these artists’ creativity Luvaboy TJ chose to borrow from different parts of each of these artists’ blueprints for success. Luvaboy TJ set out to not only succeed in modeling and acting but also in the music business.
While expanding on his musical expertise by learning to play the drums and piano, his modeling and acting career took off. He began to get bookings for TV commercials and print ads. His first big break came as a model for Nike’s National campaign. With the national visibility of this campaign, Luvaboy TJ was now on the industry’s radar. In a short time he booked national ads for Dicks Sporting Goods, Verizon, Kmart, Footlocker and G Unit clothing.
Just as his modeling and acting career were taking off at the age of 13, he was invited to perform the music he had been working on at the “Harlem Day Annual” block party. This was a defining moment in the life of a young Luvaboy TJ. That very moment he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He knew he was a talented writer and producer but he discovered that he also had a gift for moving an audience. Acting and modeling were fun but performing live came very natural to him. That day a star was born.
Since then Luvaboy TJ has continued to stay busy. He released a project on Datpiff titled Front now, Fiend later. The Chris Brown featured single “Jumpin Out the Plane” gained worldwide popularity. He also performed on 106th and Park, “Rock the Vote” tour, “Loud Music” Tour, CMJ Music Festival, One Hell Of A Nite Tour European Tour with Chris Brown and The legendary SOB’s and various other nightclubs throughout the United States. He has also opened up for recording artist Lil Kim and Chris Brown.
Luvaboy TJ’s acting and modeling career has also taken off. He has appeared in numerous episodes of Law and Order, Academy Award winning film Precious, the Biggie Smalls film Notorious, the Dictator starring Sasha Baron Cohen and Black Nativity starring Jennifer Hudson and Forrest Whitaker.
Now at the age of 27, Luvaboy TJ has recorded a staggering 320 and has worked with a plethora of known producers and artist. The result of the European stretch of the “One Hell of a Night” tour, his singles “All I know” and “Lit BTW” are creating a heavy buzz. Luvaboy TJ’s freshman release Untitled, featuring Wiz Khalifa, Bonnie B, Chris Brown, Juicy J, Dej Loaf, Ray J and a United States tour is scheduled for this Summer. There has been a lot of hard work and now it's paying off. Harlem is once again on the Rise.
